"The Art Center of Redwood City & San Carlos brings together art lovers & artists of all ages and abilities from the community to create, educate & collaborate."

The Art Center of Redwood City and San Carlos is a 501c3 non-profit.  The Art Center supports art in schools, senior centers, and elsewhere by providing art instructors, funds, and organizational support.  If your organization—such as a school, scout troop, senior center, market or fair—would benefit from art-centered activities or instruction, please feel free to submit an application for funding, instruction or organizational assistance.

Some examples of activities we have funded previously, but are not limited to:

  • High school students touring the center to see and write about the art, interview artists or sketch based on art in the halls.
  • Grade school students touring the center and completing art projects in 4 or 5 different artists' studios, followed by a healthy snack.
  • Live demonstrations by resident artists.
  • Art projects being brought into an after school program.
  • Classes for senior adults.
  • Demos by request for art groups, non-profits, senior centers, etc.
  • Girl Scout troop projects.
  • Art classes.
  • Private instruction for kids and adults.
  • Art competition awards.
  • Sponsoring public art activities.
